SHOUTcast and Icecast Streams

Renting a stream from us in Second Life couldn’t be easier, we have a simple system for rentals based on the duration, hourly, daily, weekly or monthly.  All short term rentals (hourly, daily, weekly) come with 100 listener spots as standard with a broadcast rate of up to 192Kbps. Monthly rentals are available with 25, 40 and 100 listener capacities, again at up to 192Kbps.

Renting is easy!

All our SHOUTcast streams are instantly provisioned so you can start using it as soon as you pay for your rental at the SHOUTcast rental centre located in every store, once your rental is paid your stream details are sent via a system Instant Message (in your local window) these details are available any time by using the HUD included in the Customer Tools package.

To rent your stream just visit one of our stores and pay the grey tab that corresponds to the package you want, if you wish to extend your rental, simply visit any of our stores and pay the pink tab for your chosen package.

We also provide you a Customer Tools kit to help get you going, this includes a HUD tool to manage your SHOUTcast stream (see how long you have left on you rental, obtain a reminder of your access details), a display system for DJs you can rez in-world to display how many listeners you currently have, the current and previous track played and a tip jar.  You also have access to our online control panel from your HUD, here you can see how long is left on your rental, change your passwords and restart your stream anytime.

Of course our Customer Services team are always on hand should you need help and our Stream Genius team provide free sessions for Live Musicians to get started with streaming.

Our billing team send out reminders in-world (as a notecard) approximately 4-5 days before renewals are due for monthly plan customers and then again when there are 24 hours remaining, if you no longer require your stream you need take no further action, it will simply expire.
